The 35 meters in the highest point of the church have to be reduced to less than 20 to meet the urban conditions.
The architect Ignacio García, founder of IGGA study, which is doing the project of the highest Russian church in Spain, confirmed the news to Tribuna Express the day of the ceremony of blessing of the plot.
Despite this minor setback, Ignacio García explains “we are in a space for catharsis. The construction of the temple has a lot of art and its aesthetics shall respect the classic canons own of the Orthodox tradition”.
With regard to the changes you are going to suffer the initial proposal, the architect of the project explains that “it is evident that the new height invalidates the original composition of the cathedral, on the domes and on the facade, and forces us to rethink the aesthetics of the church”.
Fortunately, the Orthodox tradition has a broad architectural fund that will help us to design the Russian church with the needed height.
