The traditional house with flat roof in the rural areas, source of inspiration for the modern architecture, is one of the constructions of the Mediterranean basin that, in spite of their advantages and deep cultural roots, is in decay and disuse.
With these words Ignacio García says that the rural houses with flat roof and the house of Peñíscola, an urban adaptation of the first, also of volumetry white cubic, are the two great creations of the popular architecture of the East coast of Spain in the Costa Azahar of Castellón de la Plana.
