The CB San Pedro junior team, led by the well-known Croatian coach Davor Matkovic, remains undefeated for another week thanks to the brilliant performance of Nicolás García Karpenko against the CP Mijas juniors. The recently turned 16-year-old cadet scored 27 points, or 40% of the points his team scored, and 11 rebounds to add his third MVP and second double-double so far in the League Gold of the Málaga Junior Men’s Provincial Championship.
Three in six games of the seven played, because he could not play the first game as he was called up with the Andalusian U15 Team. Karpenko, the great dominator of the Junior Gold League, Groups A and B included, has won a new MVP on the seventh day. The Marbella player went up to 21 rating credits this Sunday.
