He crushes Unicaja despite his team’s defeat.
Nicolás García Karpenko was the top scorer and MVP of the game that this Monday IGGA GROUP CBSP 2008 lost against Unicaja Andalucía´10 (91-66) in the pavilion of the Los Guindos sports complex, the temple of Malaga training basketball of the almighty Unicaja, which was renamed the José María Martín Urbano Pavilion on March 23, 2023.
A stratospheric Karpenko led the game in play and scoring in the game that his team lost at Unicaja’s home. In a difficult match, the Marbella player was superb. He was the best on the court, with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 9 ball recoveries and 3 assists. He always appeared in the decisive moments of the game, raising the ball with mastery and leaving tackles and baskets to remember. His extraordinary work, scoring 39% of the team’s points, served to tie the second quarter (23-23) and win the last (9-13), but the losses and erratic play in the first quarter (26-12 ) and, above all, in the third (33-18) they left the Sampedreño team with no chance of winning the game.
With this game, the first round of the 2023/24 Men’s Cadet Provincial Championship, Andalusian Club Championship Phase, Single Group, ended, with Nicolás García Karpenko leading the championship. – At IGGA and CBSP we are proud that one of our fifteen-year-old players has been crowned the top scorer and MVP of the first round of the competition. From here we congratulate Karpenko, we wish him new triumphs in the second round of the championship and we encourage him to continue growing as a player.
