The founder and director of the international sustainable design and architecture studio IGGA International, with more than 168 million square meters designed and built in 18 countries around the world, Ignacio García will debut as a writer with ‘Rapapolvo. A book of poetry in which, with notable linguistic skill and creativity, together with poetic and original prose, rich in evocative images and powerful metaphors, it offers a critical and sometimes scathing perspective on injustices and reality.
Literary debut
During his long years of career, Ignacio García has explored different facets. From design, architecture, urban planning, environmental protection, teaching and construction to other disciplines of the art world such as illustration, drawing, painting and short film making, with works that have also been awarded with prizes. He has also had time to write. However, he had never dared to publish a book… Until now, he has decided to also embark on his journey into the world of literature.
I have always enjoyed writing, until one day after turning 54 I thought it was time to publish my first book of poetry,” García revealed when announcing his literary debut.
Rapapolvo will be published by Ediciones Oblivium, Ediciones La Palma’s new publishing project for Latin America, through a traditional edition financed by crowdfunding in Spain and Latin America. The physical book and its Ebook will reach bookstores and online points of sale at the end of November 2024.
