Nicolás García Karpenko, from Marbella, 16 years old, wins the MVP award for gameday 13, after scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 22 credits in the basketball game faced between CB San Pedro 06-07 Rojo and CD Adesa Málaga, at home on April 20, with a large victory for the Sampedreños by 102-32, belonging to the U18-U17 Junior Gold League of the provinces of Malaga and Melilla, 2023-2024 season.
Karpenko signed a huge double-double and took the MVP of gameday 13
It was the fourth time in the 2023-2024 season that Karpenko took the MVP of the day in this competition, where the majority of the players are one and two years older than him. His magnificent double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds, in addition to his 22 credits achieved in just 25 minutes of play, were the highest rating and score among the 210 players participating in the competition and played their games on gameday 13.

The best in the Junior Gold League with 25 points in 25 minutes
Karpenko had a brilliant performance, with 5 steals, 5/7 free throws with 71% accuracy, 2 shots of 3 points, 2 blocks with his left hand and 4 fouls received out of the 18 committed by his rivals. The ambidextrous San Pedro forward was the protagonist in the victory, scoring a quarter of his team’s points and just seven points less than the rival team. An important day for Karpenko in which, in addition to leading his team to victory, he managed to be the most outstanding player of the match and of gameday 13 of the competition.
Triple celebration at the end of the game. | The home players dedicated the game victory, a record victory, to their coach Davor Matkovic. It is the first time this season that a team exceeds 100 points and wins with a difference of 70 points. Furthermore, the well-known Croatian coach of CB San Pedro celebrated his thousandth game since he has been in Spain and, satisfied with the efforts of his players, he celebrated it in style, with pizzas and soft drinks, in one of the halls of the club pavilion.
