Our works improve the quality of life of all citizens.
Since the origin of the idea, IGGA conceives and projected environments, objects and spaces that can be used by everyone.
In IGGA we know that accessibility is a right of the individual that should be treated to achieve the equalization of opportunities.
Our designs have an easy access for any person, even those that have limitations in mobility, in the communication or understanding.
From the point of view of the population – The accessibility is fundamental to a 10 per cent of the population, is required for a 40% and is comfortable for the 100%.
The accessibility allows all individuals to lead an autonomous life, fully participating in social life.
For us, the accessibility has ceased to be a synonym of suppression of physical barriers.
Our goal as designers is to remove the friction between the people and the environment to provide the optimum conditions of safety and comfort.
In IGGA, we design any environment so that allows a person to act in the way more independent, secure and natural as possible, without need of help from third persons or products of additional support.
We guarantee the universal accessibility.
The designs that take into account only the needs of a Standard person generate a number of barriers to others that do not comply with the measures taken into account. That is why, in all our projects we consider that the accessibility is a matter of concern to all people, and not only for a minority.
Everybody, at some point, we have needed any accessibility in order to benefit from the provision of a service, use of a well or be able to communicate with our equals.
We export architectural accessibility, which is referred to public and private buildings and the urban accessibility, which refers to the urban environment or physical.
The first ecological golf course that we design in the Villa Clara, Cuba, minimizes the risks and accidents.
Its design communicates the necessary information for the user, in response to environmental conditions or to the sensorial capacities of the user.
The design of the club house is useful and easy to understand to people with diverse capacities:
- People with permanent disability, physical and/or sensory.
- The elderly, disabled or no.
- Children.
- People affected by transitory circumstances, such as pregnant women and people with baby buggies.
