Ignacio García has been invited to design a Boutique Hotel in the place that occupies an old farmhouse called Cortijo del Alicate, placed in the heart of one of the golf courses with more history of Marbella: “Marbella Golf Country Club”.

Responsible managers of the club showed the ruin of the farmhouse to Ignacio García in the first days of January, 2011.

Marbella Golf Country Club was designed in the 80´s by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the most widely known by the mid-1960 and probably the most influential course architect in history.

Golf course is situated only five minutes before the cosmopolitan city of Marbella and occupies one of the biggest green areas that stay in Costa del Sol.

Because of the absence of accommodation in the outskirts, golf course needs the construction of a boutique hotel next to the club house, in a place called Cortijo del Alicate.

Placed in the high position.

It is a ruin placed in the high position allows to enjoy a fantastic scenery towards the Mediterranean sea, the golf course, the club house and the mountain.
