Karpenko is making waves in both leagues he plays in. He takes the MVP awards in pairs. Without going any further, this weekend he achieved two MVPs on the same day and in two different leagues to guide the San Pedro team to victory.
Karpenko flies, there are no doubts
On Saturday, Nicolás García Karpenko played at 11:30 a.m. the Junior Gold League game that pitted CBSP 06-07 Rojo against EBG Málaga’08 at the Elena Benítez Sports Palace in San Pedro, Marbella, with victory for the locals 62-53. Karpenko had a very complete game. He added 17 points with 3/3 triples and 100% effectiveness, 2/3 free throws and 67% effectiveness, 2 steals and 3 fouls received in 26 minutes of play. He was the top scorer and MVP of the game. Numbers that place him as the best most valued player in the competition on gameday number 9.
Next, at 1:30 p.m. Karpenko played the Andalusian Cadet Provincial Championship match between IGGA GROUP CBSP 2008 and EBG Málaga’09 in the same pavilion, with the locals also winning 56-47. With no time to rest, Karpenko played an even more complete, enormous match. He added 17 points with 5/8 free throws and 63% effectiveness, 11 rebounds, 6 steals, 3 assists, 1 block and 8 fouls received in 32 minutes of play. He was the top scorer and MVP of the game, had a double-double and almost had a triple-double. These numbers place him as the best and most complete player in the competition.
