A decisive double-double gives Nicolás García Karpenko the second MVP of the season in the Junior Oro league and keeps CB San Pedro 06-07 undefeated for one more day in the competition.
Karpenko showed that he is in great form. This weekend, the young forward, only 16 years old, scored 14 points and 14 rebounds in CB San Pedro´s 06-07 victory against Adesa in Málaga by 47-52 on a playing field with a very slippery and dangerous surface.
It is a pleasure to see Karpenko playing basketball in Junior Gold. With this result and despite having played one game less than the rest, Karpenko has 74 rating credits and becomes the fittest and most valued player of all those who play Junior Gold league, including both groups A and B of the championship.
Karpenko’s 2 triples were crucial for the victory of the Sampedreños coached by Davor Matkovic.
Karpenko was the game’s top scorer with 14 points, 14 rebounds, 2 triples, 2/3 free throws, 2 assists, 3 steals and 6 fouls received. Playing outside on offense and inside on defense, of the 14 rebounds, 12 were on defense.
